Welcome to Quixotic Reads!
Hello, fellow readers, and welcome to my virtual library. This is my little corner of the internet where we ignore reality and get lost in epic stories–preferably with some romance on the side.
Meet Loretta: Your Friendly Neighborhood Book Maverick
I’m Loretta, a graphic designer by day and book-ranting nerd by night. I’m on a quest to procrastinate on my everyday responsibilities as much as possible, and books are my drug of choice. If you’re here, I’m guessing you’re a fellow book-lover in need of a distraction, so let’s get lost together!
In a Nutshell…
When I’m not reading or listening to audiobooks, I’m usually playing cozy games on my Switch and hanging out with my golden retriever Mr. Rogerz (Fred for short). Here are some quick and dirty facts about me: I live in Colorado, grew up in Chicago, hate mayonnaise, absolutely obsessed with Stranger Things, The Sun Is Also a Star is my favorite book, k-dramas are the best, and I’m definitely still emo. It was never a phase.
Speaking of Being Emo…
In an effort to scream even more about books, I started a bookish podcast with one of my close friends Dev (@readbydev) called The Emo Girls’ Guide to the Galaxy. It’s a space for us to laugh and share our love of reading with our little community of listeners. We even have a book club that I’ll be posting about from time to time!
Quirky Reviews & Ramblings
On this blog, you can expect some too-honest reviews, the occasional bookish outburst, and some major gushing about the books I love. Quixotic Reads is a safe, cozy corner of the internet where we celebrate love, root for the underdog, and believe in the fantastic.
Let’s Get Quixotic Together!
This blog isn’t a one-woman show. It’s a carnival of book nerds and dreamers. Dive into the comments, share your favorite literary treasures, and help me make this a community where quirkiness reigns supreme!
